Frequently Asked Questions About AST

Q. What exactly does AST do?
A.

Autism Spectrum Therapies (AST) employs the latest Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) findings in crafting personalized programs that address the needs of individuals with autism and their families.

Our therapeutic approach utilizes ABA methods that are generally accepted as the only scientifically-validated approach to treating autism. Our programs are designed to develop language, social, and self-help skills through “real world” activities and natural family routines, and can be adapted for use from infancy through adulthood. Our intensive, family-focused approach allows for full immersion in the program and helps expedite rapid, sustainable progress.

AST works with school districts throughout Southern California, developing individual programs and training teachers, assistants, and school psychologists. In partnership with local regional centers, we provide early intervention, social skills training, and positive behavioral supports in the home after school. We also work privately with families, providing ongoing support to parents and siblings.
