Jesse O’Neil is the center director at Autism Spectrum Therapies (AST) in Orange County, California. He moved from Denver, drawn by his love of swimming and water sports.
He began working with children with special needs in 2011 while teaching swim lessons. In 2013, he completed emergency medical technician (EMT) training at the Community College of Denver. He earned a bachelor’s degree in behavioral neuroscience from the University of San Diego in 2015.
Jesse began his career as a behavior interventionist and became a registered behavior technician in 2016. He discovered a passion for helping children through applied behavior analysis, or ABA.
He earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction with a focus on ABA from Arizona State University in 2019. That same year, he became a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA).
Today, Jesse leads with a focus on quality, collaboration, and growth. He supports children and young adults with autism and other developmental differences. His goal is to deliver person-centered care that helps each client thrive.
“I love seeing kids learn skills they’ll use every day — whether it’s talking, playing or washing their hands.”
