In-Home ABA Therapy
Keeping your family’s routines in mind
Treatment That’s Close to Home
Our Home & Community Services take place in your child’s natural environment with a behavior technician (BT) working one-on-one with your child with autism for a prescribed number of hours a week.
That means you have personalized care at home to focus on the skills that are important to you and your family.
At Home
From the moment we start treatment, we serve as your teammate.
Our in-home ABA therapy uses your natural and routine activities to help your child build skills. A board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) will observe your home environment and the way your family works. Your interactions and daily routines will influence your child’s treatment plan. During this time, you can discuss your child’s needs and the goals your family would like to achieve. With these in mind, we help break down each task into small goals for your child. Then, under the supervision of a BCBA, one of our exceptionally-trained behavior technicians (BTs) will deliver care in your home.
Often, skills at home focus on the practical aspects of daily living — such as grooming, toilet training, and eating. With in-home ABA therapy, your child will have the benefit of being in an environment where they are already comfortable
We’ll equip you with the tools, training, and confidence to continue to help your child with autism reach their goals, even when we’re not in the home.
In the Community
We know that real life happens outside your front door. When you and your child are ready, we can expand therapy into your community.
Every child with autism is different, so the skills and pace will be unique to your child’s situation. Community outings usually focus on practicing social skills learned during in-home ABA therapy in a public place.
Your child and BT will go to places like your local library, park, restaurant, or grocery store. There, your child will practice age-appropriate activities of daily living. These skills could include things like learning how to check out a book at a library, waiting in line at a store, or ordering at a restaurant.
We focus on functional skills your child can practice and master to help make community outings a success. Together, we’ll practice social awareness, physical awareness, and safety. We’ll tailor activities to support your unique family values and lifestyle. These skills will also build your child’s sense of self-confidence and self-awareness.
As a parent, you may be eager for your child to master practical skills like using the bathroom and sleeping through the night. Wherever you are on your journey, we’re here to help. Our team of experts can teach many of the skills your child needs to be successful. We’ll work on the goals that are important to your family and include you, as a caregiver, in every step of developing your child’s treatment plan.
We’ll help you get there and empower you to have the tools you need to handle the challenges that come with autism.
