Other Therapies for Autism
A collaborative approach
When You Need Additional Therapies for Autism
At times, your family may need specialized services, in addition to ABA therapy. Your child’s needs may vary or change over time, and we’ll work with you to adapt to a plan that works best for your family.
ABA therapy serves as the foundation of our programs. We strive to be a place where children with autism learn to navigate the world with happiness, confidence, and independence. We consider you, as parents and caregivers, your child’s first and most important teacher, and we partner with you to create an environment in which you and your child can thrive.
Sometimes, your child’s treatment might include working with other healthcare professionals — such as occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and counselors. These specialists are dedicated to helping your child with autism develop routines and learn new skills that complement the skills they learn during ABA therapy.
We’ll build your child’s program with the family environment in mind. That could mean an occupational therapist will help your child learn skills related to eating, bathing, and dressing — like practicing buttoning a shirt. Or, your child will work with a speech therapist to improve their speech using communication gestures or picture boards. Your child or family might also benefit from seeking counseling.
At Autism Spectrum Therapies (AST), our mission is to find success for every child in our care. By including additional therapies, we’ll work with you to build a treatment program that’s tailored to your child’s specific needs, setting them up for success.
We have an extensive team of specialists and partners who provide additional therapies for autism. Your family’s recommended treatment options may include:
