      Angel Dunlap, BCBA

      Assistant Clinical Director

      “At AST, we believe the best learning occurs when having fun. We incorporate structured play opportunities into our sessions while teaching skills in an environment where children can thrive.”

      Angel Dunlap is a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) and the assistant clinical director at AST Autism. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Central Missouri and her master’s degree in applied behavior analysis with an emphasis in autism from Ball State University. ABA captured Angel’s heart during her undergraduate program and has since worked in the field for the past ten years. She is passionate about providing her clients and families with everything they need to thrive and accomplishes this by helping her staff build their clinical skill sets. Angel believes that leveraging each person’s unique abilities allows them to flourish, especially her clients. In her spare time, she enjoys going on hikes, shopping at thrift stores, attending ball games, and watching documentaries.

      Rebecca Mandal-Blasio, Ph.D., BCBA-D

      Senior Clinical Director

      “I truly feel it’s my life’s destiny to teach children with developmental disabilities how to become the best person possible while advocating for families to have access to services they deserve.” 

      Dr. Rebecca Mandal-Blasio is a senior clinical director for AST in Louisiana and Arkansas. She has been with AST for 10 years and began as the clinical director for AST’s first Learning Center in New Orleans. Dr. Mandal-Blasio completed her predoctoral internship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine as part of the Neurobehavioral Outpatient Unit and Pervasive Developmental Disorders Clinic. She then completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Throughout her educational and professional career, Dr. Mandal-Blasio has enjoyed working with children with developmental disabilities and their families.
